There was a item on our local television news station a few days back – people complaining about the gulls at Whitby and about the fact that they stole their fish and chips.  DUH!!

I worry you, I know I do
for I can see the TV too.

You write to say you hate my stare,
don’t like the seaside when I’m there.

Well let me tell you, I live here,
best treat me with respect my dear,

For if you don’t I’ll seek you out,
dive bomb, attack, behave like lout,

I’ll walk across your roof at night
and in your hair I might well shite.

This town you see, is by the sea;
go elsewhere if you don’t like me.
